Nickel alloy x-750(UNSN07750/W.Nr.2.4669) is a precipitation hardening nickel-chromium alloy used for corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and high strength at high temperatures below 1300 degrees Fahrenheit. Although most of the effects of precipitation hardening will disappear as the temperature rises above 1300 degrees Fahrenheit, the effective strength of heat-treated materials can reach 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. Alloy X-750 also has excellent performance under low temperature conditions.

The economic performance of Nickel alloy x-750, as well as its availability in all standard rolling mill forms, enable it to be used in a wide range of industrial fields. In gas turbines, it is used for rotor blades and wheels, bolts and other structural components. Nickel alloy x-750 is widely used in rocket engine thrust chambers. Applications for the airframe include thrust reversers and hot air duct systems. The large pressure vessel is made of  Nickel alloy x-750. Other applications are heat treatment fixtures, forming tools, extrusion dies, and tester grips. Used for springs and fasteners.

   According to the required application and performance, various heat treatment methods can be used. For the use environment above 1100 degrees Fahrenheit, especially the environment that needs to maintain the load for a long time, the best performance can be obtained through solution treatment (2100 degrees Fahrenheit) + stabilization treatment (1550 degrees Fahrenheit) + precipitation treatment (1300 degrees Fahrenheit).

  For alloys below 1100°F, it can be strengthened by precipitation treatment after hot working or cold working, equilibrium treatment or precipitation treatment after solution treatment. In some applications, furnace cooling can also be used to develop optimal performance.
