The alloy has the highest saturation magnetic induction intensity (2.4t), high Curie point (980℃) and the highest saturation magnetostrictive coefficient (60 ~ 100×10-6) among existing soft magnetic materials. Because of the high saturation magnetic induction intensity, the volume can be greatly reduced when the motor of the same power is made, and the large absorption force can be generated under the same cross section area when the electromagnet is made. Because of the high Curie point, the alloy can work at higher temperatures where other soft magnetic materials have been completely demagnetized and maintain good magnetic stability.

Because of its large magnetostrictive coefficient, it is very suitable for magnetostrictive transducer with high output energy and high working efficiency. The resistivity of low alloy (0.27 mu Ω m.), should not be used under high frequency.
