Corrosion resistance of various stainless steels

304: It is a universal stainless steel, which is widely used to make equipment and parts that require good comprehensive performance (corrosion resistance and formability).

301: Stainless steel will produce obvious processing corrosion when deformed, and it is required to prevent occurrence of various occasions.

302: Stainless steel Stainless steel is a variant of 304 stainless steels with increased carbon content. The highest strength can be achieved by cold rolling.

302B: It is a kind of stainless steel with silicon content, which has remarkable oxidation resistance.

303 and 303Se: stainless steel containing sulfide and easy to clean, respectively, used for fragile materials and occasions where the surface and the surface are high. 303Se stainless steel is also used to make parts that require hot upsetting, because under this condition, Ningbo has good hot workability.

304L: It is made of 304 stainless steel with lower carbon content, where welding is required. Cause stainless steel to produce intergranular corrosion (welding corrosion) in certain environments.

04N: It is a nitrogen-containing stainless steel. Nitrogen is added for the strength of the steel.

305 and 384: Stainless steel does not contain organic nickel, its processing rate is low, and it is suitable for various occasions that require high cold formability.

308: Stainless steel is used to make electrodes.

309, 3103 and 330: The nickel and chromium content of stainless steel is relatively high, in order to improve the oxidation resistance and microbial strength of steel at high temperature. The 30S5 and 310S are variants of 309 and 310 stainless steel. The only difference is that the carbon content is low, in order to minimize the carbon zero near the weld. 330 stainless steels have particularly high carburization resistance and heat resistance.

316 and 317: Type stainless steel contains aluminum, and has the ability to resist pitting corrosion in marine and chemical industrial environments. Among them, the 316 stainless steel variants include stainless steel 316L, nitrogen-containing high-strength stainless steel 316N, and sulfur-reactive easy-chemical stainless steel 316F.

321, 3477, and 348 are stainless steel stabilized with titanium, niobium plus titanium, and niobium, which can be used as stainless steel in trace amounts. 348 is a kind of restriction on the combined amount of tantalum and drill applicable to the nuclear power industry.
