3   Application of anti-rust products such as anti-rust oil

When military vehicles leave the factory, it is best to perform anti-rust treatment on the body and other parts. That is, in places where there is a lot of moisture and soil, sealed or semi-sealed parts, such as the bottom of the panel, the bottom of the floor, the inner side of the door, the joint of the fender, the light installation, the cavity that cannot be sealed, the engine compartment, and the For areas prone to rust, such as door hinges, spray a layer of waxy self-enclosed rust inhibitor. Treatment with rust inhibitor can greatly improve the corrosion resistance of these parts. At present, there are many such products on the market, such as chassis armor anti-rust oil, which is especially suitable for mudguards, bottom plates and other parts that may be corroded. It can effectively form a special protective layer to completely isolate the rubber and metal of the chassis from seawater. , Atmosphere and other corrosive media and impact of sand and gravel, prolong the service life of the chassis. For example, various types of automobile chassis anti-rust waxes are made of special synthetic waxes and environmentally friendly solvents, and are made by adding compound anti-rust agents, film-forming agents, stabilizers, viscoelasticity regulators, etc., which are used in various types of trucks, For the anti-rust of container and other parts, spraying on the painted parts can form a relatively dry, complete, uniform, dense, and non-sticky protective film, which has a good isolation effect on water and corrosive media. However, these anti-rust products have not been widely used in military vehicles. Various stainless steel parts, screws, bolts, chains, etc., which are regularly coated with anti-rust oil, are not effective in preventing rust in coastal areas. Therefore, the performance of anti-rust products that are resistant to seawater and salt spray corrosion needs to be improved urgently.

4   Application of corrosion-resistant non-metallic materials

At present, the non-metallic materials used on military vehicles mainly include glass fiber reinforced plastic, polyurethane hoses, high-pressure air pipes, nylon, polytetrafluoroethylene, oil-resistant rubber sheets, and other engineering plastics. The corrosion resistance of some non-metallic materials is unmatched by metallic materials. In the vehicle manufacturing process, attention should be paid to the application of various non-metallic materials. For example, synthetic rubber can be used in the connection of automobile tires, seals, and connectors; ceramic materials can be used in the manufacture of engine cylinders and pistons; rare earth materials can be used in the manufacture of magnetic poles for generators and motors.

FRP is one of the most frequently used non-metallic materials. If the vehicle fender is made of carbon steel material, the paint film will soon fall off under the impact of mud and sand and seawater corrosion, resulting in corrosion of the steel plate. The use of glass fiber reinforced plastic materials can solve this problem. FRP has the characteristics of good manufacturability, high specific strength, and low cost. It can be used with heat insulation pads to achieve a certain degree of heat insulation and noise reduction. It can be used in vehicle engine hoods, battery box covers, and ordinary shields. The currently used glass fiber reinforced plastic parts are generally made of unsaturated polyester resin and alkali-free glass fiber as the main raw materials, combined with steel plate reinforcement ribs, to obtain a good appearance quality, and it is difficult to hide the welding edges and coatings caused by welding. Spot welding scars, but poor durability and easy aging, suitable for trial production and small batch products.

For large-volume shell-like shaped parts, use engineering plastics (such as ABS engineering plastics) instead of FRP to obtain better decoration and durability. For example, the rearview mirror mirror holders, fuel filler caps, lamp holders, etc. of various vehicles are electroplated chromium, which is very corrosive. Replacing the electroplated chromium with engineering plastics can solve the problem of corrosion of these parts (see Figure 4).

To

Among non-metallic materials, various rubber tubes are commonly used and have more problems. At present, most of the polyurethane hoses used in military vehicles are produced by a company in Beijing. The quality is leading among similar domestic products, but the phenomenon of aging and cracking is still prominent when used in coastal areas. The high-pressure air pipes and various hoses used in military vehicles also have the same problem. Therefore, it is urgently required to develop various hoses with excellent aging resistance and seawater resistance.
